Another student at Uganda’s most prestigious institution, Makerere University, has been murdered.

Imalingat Ibrahim, a third year student of Mulago Paramedical School was killed on Saturday.

Imalingat had gone to a party organised by West Nile Students Association and held at Organic Bar along Mawanda road.

According to police spokesman, Fred Enanga, the student was attacked by thugs while returning from the party at Mulago football pitch.

His colleague run off leaving Imalingat cornered around TASO offices.

He was discovered by good Samaritans who rushed him to Mulago but too late.

Medics say he was hit on the head with a sharp object that ended his life.

Enanga says police is investigating to get to the bottom of the incident.

Last month, David Ojok, a former ICT student who completed his degree course at the University last year was lynched by students.

Ojok who operated a small secretarial bureau near Nkrumah students’ hostel was killed on orders of Marvin Mutungi, the residence chairman.
